Not a reserved table, but your own table
Private dining is a dinner in private company where the chef comes to you rather than you going to the restaurant. In the Netherlands the term is often also used for a separate room inside a restaurant. We mean the first: our chefs cook at your location, serve each course at the table, and bring the kitchen, the tableware and the washing-up with them.
That differs from our Walking Dinner, where your guests stand and circulate. At a private dining everyone is seated and every course is served, closer to an evening in a restaurant, only at your home, your office or a holiday house.

Chef de Parties was founded by Anton Kasabukin and Jidde Beukema, who met in the kitchen of The Harbour Club in Rotterdam. At a private dining one of them is at the stove himself: not a hired hand with a standard menu, but the chef who composed the menu with you.
What an evening at the table costs
A private dining is composed per evening, so there is no fixed rate per person and we do not charge by the hour. The number of courses, the number of guests and the ingredients set the price. For orientation: our set menus start at €44.50 per person, including chefs, waiting staff and tableware. There is no minimum guest count: we will cook for a table of two.

What is private dining?
A dinner in private company where the chef comes to you rather than the other way round. Our chefs cook at your location (at home, at the office or somewhere of your choosing), serve the courses at the table and bring kitchen, tableware and washing-up with them. In the Netherlands the same term is also used for a separate room in a restaurant; that is a different product from this.
What does a private dining cost?
It depends on the number of courses, the number of guests and the ingredients. We do not work to a fixed rate per person and do not charge by the hour; you get one estimate for the whole evening, with chefs, waiting staff and tableware included. Our set menus start at €44.50 per person. For designing a fully bespoke menu we ask €100 up front, which you get back as a discount on the final invoice.
